Butch Ingram

Butch Ingram, 60, a resident of Bishop for 30 years, born in the San Fernando Valley on May 11, 1952, passed away Aug. 20, 2012 at his home in Bishop.

Butch’s passion for life was endless. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and hiking.

He loved his family and was a wonderful son, brother and father. His love of Native American Indian history was another passion of his. In his artwork, he would capture the true spirit of our Native American, the respect of their culture, the dignity and wisdom in their faces, he loved to carve. He could take a piece of wood and turn it into a passionate face.

He is survived by his father, Ed Ingram of Bishop; sisters, Debbie Conklin of Bishop and Dawn Sharp of Woodland Hills; nieces, Heather Garcia of Bishop and Shane Ellis of Orange; four children, Jessie Ingram, Lauren Bochnowski, Allison Ingram and Daniel Ingram. He also left behind seven grandchildren.

Donations in Butch’s memory may be made to the Hospice of the Owens Valley, or The American Cancer Society.

Services will be held at a later date.
