Ellen Wilmoth, 73, was born in Detroit, Mich., and passed away Friday, March 2 at Northern Inyo Hospital after a long battle with Lung Cancer.
She is survived by her husband, Greg Wilmoth, of Big Pine; daughters, Tammy White of Cartersville, Ga. and Terry Saxon and her husband Lynn of of Hobbs N.M.; brother, Ed Merewether and his wife Deborah of Placitas, N.M.; brother, Dave Merewether and his wife Torksey of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren, Nichole, Amber, Sharilyn, Josh and Ryan; 13 great-grandchildren; and many friends who helped care for her.
Ellen loved growing her iris and roses, the company of her family and friends and being on the go. Even though she was ill, she was always compassionate towards others who were ill and tried to help them. She will leave a huge void in the lives of all those who knew and loved her.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Brune Mortuary, officiated by Reverend Rick Klug, with interment to follow in Albuquerque.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Eastern Sierra Breast Cancer Association, who assisted with expenses for Ellen’s medical trips to Reno.
