Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop for 32-year Bishop resident Dorothy C. Burnstrom. Rev. Kathleen Puntar of the First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Born Aug. 19, 1924 in New York City, N.Y., Dorothy passed away Jan. 12, 2012 at the Bishop Care Center. She was 87.
Dorothy worked for Mammoth Mountain Ski Area for 12 years. She also worked at Ganer Sports in Bishop.
She is survived by her husband, John S. Burnstrom of Bishop; sister, Darlene Latta of Keno, Ore.; one nephew, Vernon Latta of Bellingham, Wash.; and two nieces, Deborah Coryell of Sunnyvale and Lu Gastaldi of Klamath Falls, Ore.
