Joseph Mikalowsky

Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and died in Lone Pine, California at age 73.
Joe joined the U.S. Air Force in May 1957, served proudly for 28 years including tours in Vietnam and Korea and then retired to Lone Pine.
During his 26 years in Lone Pine, Joe served as the VFW Post Commander, manager of the Mt. Whitney Golf Club and helped Ernie Laskey at Ernie’s Tin Roof by Diaz Lake.
Joe was well known and liked by many, he will be greatly missed.
 Joe is survived by his wife of 49 years, Phyllis Mikalowsky; Son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Unsun Mikalowsky of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Larry Hill of Stewart, Tenn.; daughter, Katrina Taylor of Fallon, Nev.; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Deidre Mikalowsky of Lompoc; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Karen Mikalowsky of Fallon; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Larry Precht of Big Pine; 17 grand-children; 11 great-grandchildren; and three more great grandchildren on the way.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Jan. 14th, at the Lone Pine Assembly of God church with a luncheon to follow at the Lone Pine VFW hall. All who knew Joe are welcome to attend the service and luncheon.
