Lane Edward Hollis

Lane Edward Hollis; born in Barstow on Nov. 13, 1962. Lane spent most of his life in Bishop where he enjoyed camping, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time with friends. Lane loved the outdoors. The last few years of Lane’s life, he enjoyed reading and sharing God’s word. Even though Lane didn’t have much, he felt he had “more than most” because he had Christ.
On Dec. 9, 2011, Lane went out on his motorcycle to enjoy the day. On his way home, he failed to negotiate a turn. Lane went to be with the Lord on Dec. 12, 2011.
The family is planning a memorial service for Lane in the spring.
Lane was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Martinez; father, David Hollis; and brother, Jim Hallisey.
He is survived by his twin brother, Larry Hollis; brother, John Hallisey; sisters and brothers-in-law, Deon and Dan Ganz of Washington, Jody and Glen Eddings and Cindy and Andy Wahrenbrock; stepfather, Richard Martinez; uncle and aunt, Leon Hollis and Juanita Smith; niece and nephews, Danelle Little, Chad Rager and Chase Little; and other family members in Barstow and Washington.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Don Rager for the support and friendship he shared with Lane the last few years of his life.
