Kevin James Jarvis
Kevin James Jarvis age 26 resident of Bishop, Calif. for his entire life, born June 23, 1985, passed away on Dec. 26, 2011 in Mammoth Lakes, Calif.
Born and raised in Bishop, Kevin grew up hunting and fishing in the mountains and the valley. Kevin had a kind heart and loved all animals. Kevin graduated from Bishop Union High School and attended Butte Community College. He worked as a fifth-generation carpenter for his father until recently attending and graduating from Northwest Lineman College to pursue his dream of being a Lineman. Kevin leaves his best friends Bosco, his dad, and sister, who loved him for always taking her for who she was, and all his family and friends. Anyone who ever had the chance to meet Kevin will always remember his kindness and sincerity.
Kevin is survived by his father, David Jarvis and stepmother Carolyn Jarvis; mother, Donna McDermott and stepfather John; sisters, Jamie Jarvis, Tailer Marks and Katie Moore; brothers, Thomas Marks and Curtis Moore; grandparents, Mickey and Rosemarie Jarvis, and Carol McKay; uncles and aunts, Cyndi and Dennis Rottner, Frank and Joannie Jarvis, Roy and Kim Chacon, and Cherie and Less Hagan; great-grandmother, Jean Jarvis; cousins Tawni and Brock Romero, Garrett Rottner, Chase Leonard, Jessie Leonard, Brittnay and Derrick Linder, Brice Chacon and Clay Fimiani; best friend, Bosco; niece, Kinlei Romero; nephews, Talon Romero and Ashton Linder; great-uncles and great-aunts, Rick and Yolanda Jarvis, Bonnie Roripaugh, and Carmen Fimiani.
Graveside services will be Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, 11 a.m. at East Line Street Cemetery, with Roy Chacon officiating. A gathering will be held at the Rottner home following the service.
