Myrtle Ileen Leimbach
Private funeral services will be held at a later date for 26-year Bishop resident Myrtle Ileen Leimbach.
Born Oct. 18, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio, Myrtle passed away Nov. 5, 2011 at her home in Bishop. She was 79.
Myrtle was born in Toledo during the Depression. Her family moved to California for work, settling in Chino, where she graduated high school.
Myrtle married and raised two children, later moving to the San Luis Obispo area with her husband, Wayne Yarolimek.
She was a nurses aid at SLO General Hospital. She later remarried and moved to Lake Isabella to own and operate an antique store.
After her second husband’s passing, she met and married Kenneth Leimbach and they moved to Bishop for Ken’s job with Contel.
After 20 years in Bishop, Ken passed away in 2004.
Myrtle died of small cell lung cancer and would applaud your effort to quit smoking on her behalf.
She is survived by her daughter, DeeAnn McDowell and her husband, Varnell; son, Rick Yarolimek and wife Iva; grandchildren, Michael Edwards and wife Samantha, Jonathan McDowell, Rachel Swank, Nathanael and Andrew, Caleb, Elizabeth and Ethan Yarolimek; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Carlson, Emma, Ellie, Eva, Eli and Erick Yarolimek and James Edwards.
