Dr. (Pastor) Timothy Daniel Treadwell

Dr. (Pastor) Timothy Daniel Treadwell was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 16, 1935. He went to be with his savior on Nov. 2, 2011.
Timothy served in the U.S. Navy in 1953 as a machinist on a battle ship in the Korean War. He went to study the Bible at Life Bible College in 1966 and earned his doctorate. His love for the Indian people of Owens Valley began in 1970, when he became the pastor at the 4 Square Indian Mission in Bishop. He then went to work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Sacramento, where he was instrumental in getting grants for housing and gymnasiums in the Owens Valley. He spoke 11 different languages.
Timothy is survived by his wife, 12 children, 10 grandchildren and one brother. He was preceded in death by one child, two sisters and two brothers.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at House of Mercy Pentecostal Church, 393 S. Pa Ha Ln., Bishop. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Woodman Cemetery in Big Pine. Following graveside services, there will be fellowship at House of Mercy Pentecostal Church.
