Edna V. Monahan

Edna V. Monahan, 84, of Lumberton, Texas passed away on Monday, Oct. 31, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Edna was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on Dec. 8, 1926 to Charles and Margaret (Vanderbilt) Armstrong.
A resident of Hardin County for the past three years, she was a retired cook for Cal-Tech Institution in Big Pine.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy Hodnett of Village Mills, Texas, Frank Monahan of Canon City, Colo. and Regina Harp of Englewood, Tenn.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, TX 77625.
