William George Greenlee
William George Greenlee, 76, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011 in Medford, Ore.
Born in Los Angeles in 1934, Bill moved to Bishop with his mother, Elizabeth, his daddy, William and sister, Georgia in 1949.
Bill graduated from Bishop High School in 1953, served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1958. He married his high school sweetheart, Elizabeth McMurtrie, worked hard and retired from civil service after more than 30 years of working at McClellan Air Force Base.
Bill is survived by his first wife, Beth; daughter, Debra; son, William; stepchildren, Steve, Donna and Bryan; as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by his second wife, Marge; and his sister, Georgia.
Bill loved living life, hunting, fishing, camping, drinking and being with family and friends. It is certain that he would not want you to grieve for him, but would rather wish you well and implore you to “live life, enjoy the time and family you have.
Bill will be remembered by his family and friends in a brief gathering at Buttermilk, near Bishop, at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.
Those wishing to attend may rendezvous with the family at State Route 168 West and Buttermilk Road at 10 a.m. on the 15th.
