LaWanda Marie Shoshone

LaWanda was born Feb. 26, 1963 in Bishop, Calif. and passed away Sept. 6, 2011 at home in Cathedral City, Calif. at the age of 48. She was the daughter of the late Alverna M. Piper of Bishop, Calif. and the late Robert S. Saubel of Banning, Calif.
She is survived by her children: daughter, Destiny Baros and husband Donnie Baros of Cathedral City, Calif., and son, Brandon McKellips and fiancée Reina Flores of Cathedral City, Calif. along with their two daughters, Feather and Malena McKellips;  her sisters, Desiree Rodriquez of Banning, Calif. and Tammara S. Spoonhunter of Bishop, Calif.; her brothers, Reginald Saubel and wife Tina of Banning, Calif., Floyd Piper, Jr. of Bishop, Calif., Darrick Piper and wife Vivian of Bishop, Calif., Preston Piper of Bishop, Calif., E. Troy Piper and wife Alberta of Bishop, Calif. and Wayne Cortez of Banning, Calif.;  also her stepmother, Georgiana Saubel of Banning, Calif. and stepfather Floyd Piper Sr. and wife June of Bishop, Calif.; along with numerous nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
The Bishop, Calif. service is Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 at the Bishop Gymnasium located at 390 W. Barlow Ln. starting at 11 a.m., along with a cry dance on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011 starting at 8:30 p.m. at 301 Tu Su Ln.  
The Cathedral City service is Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at the Spanish Assembly of God Temple Victoria Church located at 69220 Victoria Dr., Cathedral City, starting at 10 a.m., along with a viewing, Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at Wiefels and Sons located at 690 S. Vella Rd. in Palm Springs. Her final resting place will be at Jane Augustine Patencio Cemetery in Palm Springs.
