George W. Snow
George W. Snow of Athena passed away Aug. 8, 2011 at the Milton-Freewater Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 97 years. At his request no public services will be held. Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home, 902 S. Main, Milton-Freewater, Ore. is in charge of the arrangements.
George Wellington Snow was born on March 30, 1914, the son of George Lyle an Ethel (Farrington) Snow in Salt Lake City, Utah. He managed Inyo Mono Lumber in Bishop until his retirement in 1979. In recent years he moved to Athena, Ore. to be closer to his children. He enjoyed going on walks, visiting with friends and neighbors and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his sister, Lucille Snow-Carter of Torrance, California; brother, Robert Snow of Round Rock, Texas; son, George K. Snow of Kearns, Utah; daughter, Diane Camara and spouse, Richard of Adams, Ore.; grandchildren, Joey Lea Camara of Adams, Ore., Reese Camara and spouse, Dawn of Post, Ore.; five great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Kylie, Lacy, Justin, Stormie and other relatives and friends. His wife of 64 years, Irene D. Snow, preceded him in death
