James R. Bame

Graveside funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19 at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop for 44-year Big Pine resident James R. Bame. Pastor Chris Costello and VFW Post No. 8988 officiated.
Born in Blufton, Ohio on Jan. 27, 1927, James passed away on Aug. 14, 2011 at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop. He was 84.
James served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and Korea. He was owner of Modern Floors in Bishop from 1966-2002.
James is survived by his three sons, David Bame of Los Angeles, Michael Bame of Seattle and Steven Bame of Boston; daughter, Deanna Nicklin of Sacramento; and nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
