Lone Pine Volleyball Indian Taco Sale Fundraiser
The Lone Pine Golden Eagles Volleyball Indian taco sale will be held Saturday, Aug. 27 from 10:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Lone Pine VFW, 481 S. Main St.
The Indian tacos can be pre-ordered, $6 each, from any volleyball player or by calling coach Mel Joseph at (760) 382-0406.
Delivery will be available.
Bronco Snack Shack Volunteers Needed
The Bronco Booster Football Snack Shack needs volunteers to help in the food booth during home football games. The Boosters need servers and cooks.

Big Pine Warriors Alert!
Big Pine High athletes are reminded to get their athletic physicals ASAP. A physical is required of any high school student wishing to play a school-sponsored team sport. Forms were mailed to all high school students and incoming freshmen earlier this summer.
The Family Health Centre will give Big Pine students a physical at the reduced rate of $15 provided the student makes an appointment and has all the necessary paperwork finished prior to the appointment date and time. Call the Family Health Centre at (760) 872-4311 for an appointment.
Students will not be allowed to participate in practices until all paperwork is completed. Tdap (whooping cough) vaccine confirmation is mandatory before a student can participate in practice or attend school, both junior high and high school.
School starts Tuesday, Aug. 23. Football practice begins Wednesday, Aug. 17. Contact Big Pine High for a starting date for high school volleyball at (760) 938-2222.
Memorial One-Pitch Tourney â€“ Aug. 13-14
The second annual Jerry Davis Memorial Coed One Pitch Softball tourney takes place Aug. 13-14.
Proceeds from the tournament will go to Davisâ€™ three children. Davis passed away Jan. 1, 2010.
Entry fee is $150 and will be collected prior to the first game. The tournament is a round robin, single-elimination event, limited to 16 teams.
Championship Broncos Football
Proceeds from the Broncos Football Golf Tourney, Saturday, Aug. 27, will go to the Bishop High football program.
Awards will be given for first, second and third place teams in the four-person scramble as well as closest to the hole and longest drive. Every golfer will have a member of the Broncos football team as a caddy.
A continental breakfast will be served before play begins at 8:30 a.m. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.
The day ends with a western BBQ.
Cost is $40 for Bishop Country Club members; $65 for non-members. Carts are available for an additional $10.
