Wild Wild West Run in Alabama Hills
The 33rd Wild Wild West run through the Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, Saturday, May 7 starts at Tuttle Creek Campground at 6 a.m. and ends at the Lone Pine Park.
The event includes a 50 K, a marathon, a 10-mile, a 3-mile fun run, and, to celebrate 30 years, a 15-mile run.
Fees, which include a goody bag and T-shirt, are: 50K, $75; Marathon, $70; 10-mile, $60. The cost for the 3-mile fun run is $10 but does not include the shirt.
The award ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. at the Lone Pine Park.
Register on www.active.com or go on to the website www.lonepinechamber.org and print a copy of the entry to mail in.

Lone Pine High Volleyball Indian
Taco Sale Fundraiser
The Lone Pine VFW will be the site of the Lone Pine volleyball fundraiser, Saturday, May 21 from 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
You can pre-order your Indian Tacos ($6 each) with any Lone Pine Golden Eagle volleyball player, or call coach Mel Joseph (760) 382-0406 to place your order. Delivery is available.
St. Stephen’s KofC Golf Tournament
The St. Stephen’s Knights of Columbus Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 21 at Bishop Country Club.
Entry fee for members is $45; non-members, $70. Sign up before May 14 and get a $10 discount. To register, call BCC (760) 873-5828.
