Sally Margaret Tice
No funeral services have been announced for Sally Margaret Tice.
Born Oct. 24, 1924 in Delrose, Tenn. to Mary Patricia Archer and Frank Stone, Sally died April 1, 2011 in hospice in Parker, Colo.
Sally lived most of her life in California and attended the Mono Lake School. She lived in Lee Vining and Cane Ranch from 1931 to 1940, returning to work as the rural mail carrier in 1946, delivering mail to Bodie.
Sally was a retiree of the California State Board of Equalization, becoming the first woman in the state to hold the position of tax compliance supervisor.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Alley; brothers, John Lewis and David Stone; daughters, Sally Ann Brocksen and Kathleen Scott; grandchildren, Luis Brocksen, Sally Margaret Brocksen and Kellie Scott; and great-grandson, Dylan Scott.
