Jacqueline Mary Jackson
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Bishop for Jacqueline Mary Jackson. Burial will follow at the East Line Street Cemetery. The Reverend Barbara Crockett will officiate.
Born March 27, 1929 to Earl and Agnes Milner in Detroit, Mich., Jackie – a mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend – died March 7, 2011 at the Bishop Care Center. She was 81.
Jackie was an active member of the Methodist Church and Eastern Star for many years. She had a very caring heart and a beautiful smile, and always put others before herself.
Jackie enjoyed gardening, camping with her husband, Wayne, picnics with her family and shopping at Dwayne’s for special gifts for friends and family.
Jackie is survived by her husband, Wayne Jackson of Bishop; sisters, Maxine and Elaine of Detroit; sons, Allen Jenkins of Bishop, John Nelson of Baker, Ore., Ronald Nelson of Baker and Richard Nelson of Glendora; daughters, Cheryl Johnston of Bishop and Donna Delaware Jenkins of Lemoore; stepdaughters, Teri Solis of San Marcos and Laurie Crawford of Syracuse, Utah; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who loved her very much.
Donations in Jackie’s memory can be made to Hospice of the Owens Valley or First United Methodist Church of Bishop.
