1934-2011

Born Nov. 26, 1934 in Grass Valley to Arthur and Edna Long, Arthur died at his home in Yerington, Nev. on Friday morning, Feb. 25, 2011 after a brief illness. He was 76.
Jack married Patricia Webb on Feb. 8, 1968 in Lake Tahoe, Nev.
Jack lived many years in Bishop working at Union Carbide where he established many lifelong friendships. He returned to Grass Valley for 16 years then relocated to Yerington two and a half years ago to rekindle old friendships with his “Bishop Buddies.”
Jack was an avid bowler, throwing a mean left hook and racking up countless 200 games. He loved to play Keno and was well known at Boomtown and Dini’s. He loved watching sports on his big screen TV and never missed a big game of any kind. He will be remembered for his ‘hearty” laugh.
Jack is survived by his wife of 43 years, Patti Long; his stepchildren, Kelli and her husband Doug Brown, Staci and her husband Dino Simmons and Ed and his wife Andrea McNamara; his eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed.
