Elizabeth May Bailey

Born Feb. 10, 1932 in Lone Pine to John (Jack) and Zelma Partridge, Elizabeth, better known to her friends as Betty or Betsie, died at the home of her friend, Michele D. Hanson, Jan. 15, 2011. She was 78.
Betty attended elementary schools in Bishop and Hot Creek and graduated from Bishop High School. She received a nursing degree from St. Lukes Nursing School in San Francisco. She married Norman Bailey in Reno in 1955. They lived in Sonoma, where she worked as a registered nurse for most of her 45 years in nursing.
After retiring in Sonoma, Betty and Norman moved to Hornbrook in Siskiyou County, where she continued some nursing and lived for 33 years.
Betty had one son, Timothy Lee, who passed away from a brain tumor when he was 16 in 1972. Betty loved to go bowling with Tim and she loved fishing and knitting. Her husband, Norman passed away in 1980.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Zelma Partridge; stepmother, Helen; husband, Norman; son, Tim; and a brother, Jack.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Cookie Callahan and Larry of Carson City, Nev.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Alfred E. Partridge of Palm Harbor, Fla. and Fred E. Partridge and Kathy of Jerome, Idaho; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
