Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4 at Brune Mortuary in Bishop for eight-year Crowley Lake resident Jeffrey Wheeler. Pastor Kathleen Puntar of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be private.
Born Dec. 25, 1970 in Acadia, Jeffrey died Jan. 27, 2011 at his home in Crowley Lake. He was 40.
Jeff was a well-known and highly respected building contractor in Mono and Inyo counties for 20 years. He took intense pride in his workmanship and the reputation he had established as a man of integrity.
He is survived by his father and mother, Tracy and Nancy Wheeler of Danville; grandfather, John Gann of Bishop; sister, Kristy Wheeler of Walnut Creek; niece, Alexandra Montee of Walnut Creek; and aunt and godmother, Alma Marie Nordquist of San Gabriel.
