m trounced the Rosamond Roadrunners with a 4-0 shutout Thursday, adding one more win for a 3-1 High Desert League record.
The Broncos controlled both the ball and the tempo in the first half. Twenty-seven minutes into the game, LaVaree Chavez scored off of a great shot from the left side.
Two minutes later, Eva Bohg scored from the right side bringing the score to 2-0.
The second half started the same way, with the Broncos controlling the game. Tiarra Shoshone scored on a nice assist from Alex Tillemans.
Bianca Sandoval scored what would be the last goal on a nice breakaway in the final minute of the game, giving the Broncos and keeper Mandy Fuller the 4-0 shut-out.
“The girls played a good game,” said coach Tim Freeman. “We had some ‘bus legs’ and it took us a while to get going, but the defense played very well allowing only two shots on goal to our 21.
“The girls are playing good team ball, moving without the ball and communicating well.”
The Lady Broncos take on the Desert Scorpions at Desert this Tuesday.
