David Charles Forsberg
1950-2010

The life of David Forsberg will be celebrated at his sister’s residence on Saturday, Jan. 22 in Lake Elsinore
Born July 5, 1950 in Long Beach, David died Dec. 30, 2010 in Bishop.
David was a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and dear friend to many.
David attended grammar through high school in Long Beach, where he developed a love for sports. His grandfather and father greatly influenced him to pursue a career in the art of carpentry for more than 30 years; this career included building custom homes in Canyon Lake and Bishop. His love of travel took him to Europe, across the United States and Canada. In 1990, David settled in Bishop where he went on to own and manage Mill Creek Station. After obtaining a barber’s license in Bakersfield, he worked at Uncle Bill’s and Main Street barber shop. During the past decade, he worked periodically for Inyo Crude Inc. In recent years, he owned and operated a mobile gourmet hot dog stand called “Curbside Grill.”
His deep love for his friends, family and country was felt by all those around him. He would often find peace and solitude in the wilderness of the High Sierra, to reading or watching Westerns.
David was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Carolyn Forsberg-Starr; father, Charles Forsberg; stepfather, William Starr; brother, Dirk Forsberg; nephew, Dylan Forsberg; and brother-in-law, John LaBelle.
He is survived by sisters, Dana LaBelle and Debra Davidson; brother, Darren Forsberg; brothers-in-law, Clifford Davidson and Paul Staat; nieces, Katie Spaulding, Allison Davidson and Lindsay Forsberg; nephews, Chad Staat and Vincent Forsberg; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
