Gov. Jerry Brown on Friday formally declared Mono County a disaster area, opening state emergency funding for victims of the Round Fire in Swall Meadows.
âThis will give us access every bit of resources the state can give,â said County Administrative Officer Jim Leddy.
âPrimarily it will give us help in debris cleanup and other expenses.â
Leddy said further information will be discussed on Tuesday evening, March 3, when the Board of Supervisors will convene at 6 p.m. at the Crowley Lake Community Center.
The Round Fire destroyed 40 structures in Swall Meaows on Feb. 6.
