Memorial services will be held for Genevra (Nevy) Kathleen Musick at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12 at the Mt. Whitney Funeral Home with George Castaneda officiating. The VFW Women’s Auxiliary will thereafter conduct graveside services at the Mt. Whitney Cemetery. When Nevy was younger, she played softball. She loved dancing, bowling, gardening and camping and was a frequent volunteer with the Lone Pine VFW Women’s Auxiliary. Nevy’s favorite pastime was being an intricate part of her family and friend’s activities.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor; son, Vernon Alton Musick; sister, Wilda (Burge) Dauncey; and her two brothers, Jack and William (Burl) McElroy.
Nevy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Victor H. and Emma Musick; grandchildren, Victor Scott, Tandi Caver, Eric Musick and Shawnna Rumrill and husband Robert; great-grandchildren, Christa Chu and husband Eru, Christopher and Erika Musick, Amanda Key, Tyler Rumrill and Michael and Samantha Caver; and great-great-grandchildren, Christopher and Scott Musick.
The family has requested that donations be made in Nevy’s name to Southern Inyo Hospital for the purchase of new equipment.
