The Eastern Sierra’s resident, internationally-acclaimed chamber music ensemble is bringing its visceral sounds to the living rooms, automobiles and iPods of fans across the globe.

Members of the Mammoth Lakes-based Felici Trio are branching out this spring courtesy of the release of their latest CD, a selection of trios by Maurice Ravel and Camille Saint-Saëns.
Recorded by the Emmy-winning producer Hideki Isoda at Cerro Coso College last spring, the disc is now available online.
The CD is entitled “Maurice Ravel (1875-1937) Piano Trio Camille Saint-Saens (1835-1921) Piano Trio in F Major, opus 18.”
Felici has previously recorded three CDs, “Chamber Music of Women Composers,” “Tchaikovsky’s Trio in A Minor” and a      2004 live recording of “Beethoven’s ‘Ghost’ Trio & Brahms’ Trio op. 87.”
Felici regularly programs works by female and contemporary composers.
A microcosm uniting three continents, the Felici Trio is the musical home of Taiwanese pianist Wen-Ting Huang, German violinist Rebecca Hang and American cellist Brian Schuldt. Felici members are prize winners of the Chesapeake, Yellow Springs and Osaka chamber music competitions and graduates of the renowned School of Music of Indiana University, Bloomington. The vibrant threesome has performed more than 350 concerts in Europe, South America and the U.S. and has distinguished itself as a unique presence on the national music scene since coming to Mammoth Lakes as grantee of Chamber Music America’s Rural Residencies Program and as a California Arts Council’s Touring Roster ensemble
Through Chamber Music Unbound, a nonprofit arts organization, Felici presents a full winter concert season and summer festival with international guests, directs a chamber workshop, leads a music school and performs “Kids Concerts” for elementary, middle and high schools. Outreach events for adults include music appreciation classes, instrumental lessons and chamber orchestra classes in collaboration with Cerro Coso College. The group recently received a Youth Education in the Arts (YEA!) grant from the California Arts Council (CAC) to design and implement educational outreach programs for elementary school children. Felici was also a recipient of a three-year Artists-in-Residence grant and Exemplary Grant from the CAC.
The ensemble has performed in Germany under the auspices of Rhineland-Palatinate’s Kultursommer, and appeared on 3SAT and ZDF Television as well as recorded for German Southwest Radio (SWF).  Felici makes a bi-yearly trip to Tuscany to coach and perform at the stunning Montalto Castle near Siena, Italy.
Fans of the Felici Trio and those who have yet to be introduced to their wonderful works can catch the ensemble live at two upcoming performances of the music of Fauré, Shostakovich and Chausson in a show entitled “Sense and Sensuality.”
The trio performs Satur-day, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Cerro Coso College in Mammoth Lakes, and again on Monday, March 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Bishop Union High School in Bishop.
