Reaching far back in time, internationally known bead researcher and jewelry designer Jamey Allen will give a free slide lecture titled “Great Beads: 3,000 BCE to the Present,” at 7 p.m. Friday, March 7, at Inyo Council of Arts, 137 S. Main St., Bishop. The necklaces here show how Allen draws on the ageless attraction of beads to produce contemporary jewelry designs with an ethnic twist.
