Madalynne Grace Clark
1922-2010

A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Neighborhood Church in Bishop for Big Pine resident Madalynne Grace Clark. A potluck reception will follow at the church. For more information call (775) 225-2891.
Born in Big Pine on Jan. 29, 1922 Madalynne died Feb. 1, 2010 at her Sterling Heights bungalow. She was 88.
Madalynne graduated from Big Pine High School in 1940. She then attended Pasadena College and graduated with honors in Business in 1942. A job took her to Reno where she found her first love, a Marine and soon to be husband, Lloyd Fields. After the war, they moved back to Big Pine and had a beautiful daughter, Melanie Jane Fields on Aug. 9, 1949. In 1959 she remarried Walter Lloyd Clark, who she remained with until his death in 1998.

She danced for many years with the High Sierra Squares, she worked for the State Board of Equalization for 33 years and she was active in Sweet Adeline’s, she was a community leader in the Sierra Crest 4-H Club and a volunteer at Laws Railroad Museum for many years,
“Her life was as beautiful as the valley she resided in,” her family said.
Madalynne is survived by her daughter, Melanie; grandson, Ryan Lloyd Kinney; granddaughter, Ashley Anne Conder; great-granddaughters, Clorinda Kinney, Alexander Maddie Conder, Samantha Jade Conder, Maci-Grace Melanie Kinney; great-grandson, Tryston Elias Kinney; and nieces, Judy Brown, Jill Stull and Patricia Rash.
 
Robert Edwin Graves
1934-2010


A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Brune Mortuary in Bishop for Robert Edwin Graves. The benevolent and protective Order of Elks number 1603 will officiate.
Born on Nov. 17, 1934 Robert died Feb. 1, 2010 at his home in Bishop. He was 75.
Robert was preceded in death by his son, Scott Graves.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Betty; son and daughter-in-law Robert and Julie Graves of Fredericksburg, Va.; stepson and partner, Gary Shallcross and Tom Donald of Monterey; stepson and wife Jim and Andrea Shallcross of Bishop; and grandchildren, Jessica Graves, Katie Graves, Karey Graves, Nicole Shellcross, Jason Shellcross, Erin Shellcross, Sara Albrecht and Shelvie Albrecht.

Donald Patrick Glennon
1929-2010


A rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, with a celebration of life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at Our Lady of Perpetual help Catholic Church in Bishop for Donald Patrick Glennon.
Born in Queens, N.Y. on Sept. 18, 1929 Donald died at his home on Jan. 29, 2010. He was 80.
Donald was one of 11 children born to Maurice and Catherine Glennon. He served his country in the US Marine Corps where he met his wife Mary Angela Kass in 1948 and spent the next 61 years together.
Donald entered law enforcement with the Los Angeles Police Department in 1954, retiring as a Sergeant with the Kern County Sheriff’s Department in 1983.
“God bless America and long live the Irish!!!” the family said.
Donald is survived by his loving wife Mary; children, Donna, Patrick, JoAnn, Colleen, Michael, Rosemary, Kelly and Kitty; as well as 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
