Saturday’s line to purchase Tri-County Fair tickets early, as well as tickets for the ever-popular Destruction Derby, formed the night before, with some staying in tents and others in their RVs. The crowd was civil and as long as last year’s, with sales up from 2008, according to Suzi Gruwell of the fairgrounds. She added that there are still some reserved seats left for the derby, and in fact nothing has sold out yet. Gruwell wanted to remind the fairgoing public that reduced price tickets for rides and events at the fair will be available until 3 p.m., Thursday. The fair officially opens at 4 p.m. later that day.
