Broncos golfers take top spot at High Desert match |

Photo courtesy Shirley Ono By Kellie Caparula Sports Staff 3-21-2009 The Bishop golf team was busy Wednesday as it hosted the first HDL match of the season at the Bishop Country Club and topped all eight teams including non-HDL squads Mojave and California City. The Broncos shot a 386 as a team. Roman Barnes and Ryan Church were low scorers for Bishop as they each shot a 73. Cory Moffett followed with a 75, Ben Ono shot a 79 and Daniel Johnson came in with an 86. Lone Pine finished second beind the Broncos with a team score of 451. Casey Sullivan was low scorer for the Eagles as he shot an 85. Chris Munis finished behind Sullivan with an 87. Dustin Newell followed with a 90, Kenneth Homan shot a 92 and Niel Bhakta 97. The next match for the Broncos and the Eagles will be hosted by Kern Valley Thursday, March 26 at the Kern River Golf Course.
