Obituaries 7-15 E-mail
Thursday, 17 July 2008
The following is the complete listing of obituaries as they appeared in the July 15 edition of The Inyo Register. Richard G. Krejci
1939-2008

A funeral mass was held for Richard Krejci, who died peacefully in his home in Prescott Valley, Ariz. on March 21, 2008.
He was born in Chicago and his family moved to California when he was 7 years old. As a child, Richard loved riding his brother’s horses and playing on the family’s large parcel of land and the hills beyond.
Some years after graduating from Cal Poly, Richard was employed by Inyo County as the Auditor-Controller. He and his wife, Kathleen, later moved to Torrance, in Southern California, where he held the position of Director of Finance for the Torrance Unified School District. Richard retired in 2003 and relocated with Kathleen to Prescott Valley.
Richard loved the area and would sit out on his deck and enjoy the view and the wildlife. He had a great sense of humor, great love of the Lord and a great talent for cooking. He enjoyed making special dishes to bring in to work to share with everyone. “We will miss his wit, his laughter and his smiles,” Richard’s loved ones said.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Kathleen; his son, Richard E. Krejci of San Diego; daughter, Julie Wilson of Jackson, Wyo.; and grandchildren, Alexandra Krejci and Kyle Wilson.

William Collins Paris
1920-2008

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 20 at 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Bishop for William Collins Paris.
He was born Dec. 18, 1920 in Artesia, N.M. to Raleigh and Minerva Paris. He died peacefully on June 26, 2008 in Dallas, Ore.
Bill grew up in Artesia, then went to Occidental College and graduated from the University of Oklahoma where he obtained a degree in chemical engineering. Following his honorable discharge, Bill eventually went to work for Union Carbide as a chemical engineer and project manager. His professional journeys took him around the nation and the world as he and his wife and growing family moved to Texas, Tennessee, Colorado, Arkansas, New York, South Africa and California. After 30 years with Union Carbide he retired to Portland, Ore. and Bishop. He continued his involvement with the church, Wycliffe Translators and Gideons International. He was recognized for his exceptional contributions to his work, church and his family.
