The first key win for Bishop came from the No. 3 doubles team of Shayla Tillotson and Lenai Munch. When the pair played their last match, the score was 7-8 Mammoth. Morris is a WW II and Korean war veteran, and stays active as a lifetime member of the VFW, Elks and Eagles lodges. He has worked as a submarine repairman and as a nuclear weapons technician. Morris said he was so happy to come up to the mountains and relax with friends, adding that the handicapped accessible boardwalk that sits right over the water is a real treat. Morris joked that, “The fishing’s always great, it’s the catching that’s not always so good.” Morris was relaxing before going in for cancer surgery the following week. Photo by Mike Bodine |
