Two games, two wins for the Bishop Broncos

February 2, 2011

The Bishop Broncos delivered a double whammy at Frazier Mountain Tuesday with wins for both the girls and boys soccer teams.

The Broncos scored in the first minute on a great pass from Alex Tillemans to Eva Bohg who fought off several defenders and blasted the ball into the net.
“This was a good win for us,” said coach Tim Freeman. “The girls were up for the game. Any time you can get out of the bus and score in the first minute – it takes the edge off the game.”

“We’ve played our two best games (against Rosamond and Kern Valley) but still come away with two losses,” said coach Jon Michener. “We’re improving but we need a win.”

“Mammoth started on fire,” said Carrington. “They came to play. I think that was the best I’ve seen the Huskies play.”
