The Paiute Palace Casino/Stewartâs Construction Jokers had the last laugh Tuesday night, taking Red Thunder out of the A/B Coed Division playoffs with an 11-6 win.
The two teams were sitting in the cellar of the Bishop Adult Softball League division with the strong possibility that the winner would have to face off against the undefeated M&Ms. The Jokers face a steep climb if the players hope to vie for the championship in the highly competitive division.

Nice cool breezes, a bit of rain, hail, lightning and thunder-booms were experienced by the many anglers at the Lake over the week. Those cool breezes were needed over the first of the week as it was darn warm up here when the clouds werenât around. We had almost a half an inch of rain in less than a half hour Saturday night â sure love watching the lightning!

One of the dominant teams in the Menâs Softball Division, Rustyâs had to be the favorite in Wednesday nightâs meeting with West Bishop. The team didnât disappoint, establishing a lead in the first inning and expanding the margin to an 18-7 win.
West Bishopâs Brad Weaver put his team on top in the first, beating the ball to second base for a double, then scoring on a single by Bob Vega. But an out at first, a pop-out and the final forced out at second base ended the small scoring surge.
