The Bishop Lady Broncos softball team lost a tough game, 0-8, to the Kern Valley Lady Broncs Friday.
âYou have to score to win,â said coach Stacy Van Nest. âUnfortunately, we couldnât get past second base.â
Pitcher Megan Erwin, while on the mound, got hit hard by the ball in the fourth inning, but finished the game.
The Broncos fall to 3-5 in High Desert League, 9-10 overall.
The final two league games are on the road, at Rosamond today and Desert Thursday.

The first two innings of Friday afternoonâs baseball match up between the Bishop Broncos and the Kern Valley Broncs were scary close.
Kern Valley jumped out to a 1-4 lead in the second inning. Bishop was plagued with weird errors until the third inning when the real Broncos nine took the field and a 5-4 lead.
âWe fielded 11 players Friday,â said coach Tim Reid, âand every one made a huge contribution. It was a total team effort.â
