Broncos suffer tough loss to Frazier Mt.

February 2, 2011

The Bishop Broncos are playing tough and strong, but still fell to the Frazier Mountain Falcons, 65-76, Tuesday night.
The Falcons’ biggest weapons were Andrew Penner, who couldn’t miss from beyond the 3-point line and, Nick Pilgram who leads the High Desert League in scoring with over 21 points a game.
“We just couldn’t stop Pilgram,” said coach Jon Michener. “We were scoring, but the Falcons owned the boards.”
Bishop pulled out to an early 9-2 lead off field goals from Cy Scott, Cody Rigney and a 3-pointer from Anthony Tucker.

Two games, two wins for the Bishop Broncos

February 2, 2011

The Bishop Broncos delivered a double whammy at Frazier Mountain Tuesday with wins for both the girls and boys soccer teams.
The Lady Broncos victory sent Bishop to the top of the High Desert League.
The Broncos scored in the first minute on a great pass from Alex Tillemans to Eva Bohg who fought off several defenders and blasted the ball into the net.
“This was a good win for us,” said coach Tim Freeman. “The girls were up for the game. Any time you can get out of the bus and score in the first minute – it takes the edge off the game.”
