The Bishop Youth Football League teams played their final game of the season Oct. 22 in Yerington, Nev.
Bandits take a win against North Valley, 14-6, ending the season in seventh place with a record of 4-4.
Renegades lose to North Valley, 24-0. Their overall record was 1-7.
JV beats Yerington, 40-6, ending with a 2-6.
Collegiates lose to Yerington. 68-0. Season record: 7-0.
The Lone Pine Lady Golden Eagles volleyball team lost on the road to Boron, Thursday in three close games 24-26, 22-25, 23-25.
â€śThis team learns something about themselves every time they step on the court,â€ť said coach Mel Joseph. â€śThursday, they learned that key miscues in transition is what led to this loss.â€ť
The Eagles served 94% and recorded 10 aces.
Lone Pine now prepares for their final match of the season when they host the Mammoth Huskies, Wednes-day, Nov. 2. The game is Senior Night with Joseph honoring his seniors for the 20th time in his Lone Pine coaching career.
The Bishop High Junior girls clobbered the Seniors 20-6 in the annual Powder Puff football game, kicking off Homecoming week Monday, Oct. 24 at John Schwab field.
Junior QB Katelyn Lent put her squad on the scoreboard, behind a key block by Madi Taylor, in the first quarter with a 2-yard run.
As the clock ticked down the first half, linebacker Aubrie Nolan intercepted a Seniorsâ€™ pass. Nolan headed down field for a 35-yard TD, putting the Juniors ahead 14-0.
The Seniors quarterback executed a pass play in the third to narrow the lead 14-6.
The Bishop Broncos Cross Country teams dominated the Desert Scorpions on their home course at Tungstens Hills Wednesday.
The boys won 15-48 taking the top six spots with Wyatt Walsh leading the pack in his first race win at 19:37. The girls, running against an incomplete field of Lady Scorpions, remain undefeated in High Desert League. Jackie Garcia recorded her first win of the season in 23:28.
