Barbara Jill Grove
Barbara Jill Grove, 73, of Big Pine, passed away on Nov. 2, 2013 after a courageous battle with liver disease. She was born to the late Jean Durston and Irving Grove, on June 16, 1940, in Martinez. Jill graduated from Los Medanos College and received a B.A. in Science in 1983. She lived in the Walnut Creek and Concord areas before retiring to beautiful Big Pine in 2003.
Donna Jacqueline âJackieâ Allred
Donna Jacqueline âJackieâ Allred passed away at home after a 10-year battle with cancer on Nov. 4, 2013. Jackie was born on March 17, 1936 in Los Angeles to John and Rosemary Harris. She was raised in Montebello. She married Gary Allred and raised their family in Hacienda Heights before moving to Bishop in 1996.

David Allen Beaver
David Allen Beaver, born Sept. 26, 1956 passed away on Oct. 22, 2013 in Bishop.
He was a plumber by trade, but a master of many talents. He always loved the challenge of mastering something new. He was an artist, athlete, hunter, fisherman, taxidermist, miner, son, brother, uncle, husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Linda Susan Ayers
Linda Susan Ayers was born in Bakersfield on Jan. 31, 1951 to Robert and Patsy Slater and passed away Oct. 25, 2013 at Southern Inyo Hospital.
Linda, her parents and brother moved to Lone Pine in 1959. She graduated from Lone Pine High School in 1969. After high school she moved to Montana for a short time and then back to Lone Pine.
In 1977 Linda married the love of her life Rod Ayers, Sr. and became the stepmom to Rod Ayers, Jr. and Stacey Ayers-Vanrensselaer.
Flora McBride Murphy
Flora McBride Murphy, 88, was born Sept. 23, 1925 in Mono Lake to Joe McBride, Sr. and Ida Tom-McBride. She is the granddaughter of Bridgeport Tom and Leanna Tom, and great-great-granddaughter of Captain Sam. Flora passed away Oct. 15, 2013 in Yerington, Nev.
As a child she attended school in Coleville, and later in her teen years she attended Stewart Indian School. She had technical training at Chemawa Indian School in Oregon as a welder, welding ships during World War II.
Richard T. Kennedy
Richard T. Kennedy passed away at Kaiser in Fresno on Oct. 6, 2013.
Richard started his career at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power on June 24, 1959 as a lineman. He moved up the ladder and retired as an electric distribution mechanic supervisor on Nov. 30, 1998.
Richard is survived by his three children, Richard T. Kennedy of Simi Valley, Mary M. Kennedy of Thousand Oaks and Winter Jackson of Bishop; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Jeffrey David Wagoner
Jeffrey David Wagoner, born Feb. 16, 1979 in Bishop, died Oct. 14, 2013 at Northern Inyo Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Jeff loved all that the Eastern Sierra had to offer. He was a skilled hunter and fisherman.
After graduating from Bishop Union High School in 1997, he moved to Quincy to attend Feather River College. He obtained his contractors license for finish work, cabinets, doors and furniture.
