Kevin Russell Crosio, 58, a resident of Bishop for 11 years, born in Malden, Mass. on July 10, 1955, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2014 at Northern Inyo Hospital with family and friends by his side.
Kevin was an avid fisherman and everyone who lived in the Eastern Sierra knew Kevin from his truck with the license plate “FISHMAS.” One time in San Felipe, Baja, Kevin and his sister Debbie caught so many sea bass that the boat almost sank.

Mary Vasquez, longtime resident of Big Pine, passed away March 26, 2014. She was 68 years old. Mary worked at JC Penny’s for several years. 
She is survived by her father, Pete Hernandez; her sister, Gloria Brown; nephew, Matthew Brown; niece, Vanessa Brown; several cousins and countless friends.
Services will be held at Big Pine Cemetery Saturday, April 5 with a memorial service following at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 11 a.m. at 2935 N. Sierra Hwy., Bishop.

Robert Joseph Toth, 81, resident of Bishop for 51 years, born in Bridgeport, Conn. on Sept. 5, 1932, passed away on March 28, 2014 at his residence in Bishop.
Bob began his 32-year professional career with the Department of Fish and Game in 1960 as an associate fish pathologist and moved to Bishop shortly thereafter. He enjoyed all aspects of the Owens Valley and was an avid fly fisherman, hunter, trapper, bird watcher and golfer. He was an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.

Betty Louise Tatum

Betty Louise Tatum, age 91 and a resident of Bishop her whole life, passed away on March 29, 2014 at the Bishop Care Center.
Betty was a true Bishop native and always joked that she was born on Grove Street and would die on Elm Street. Her biggest joy in life was raising her three sons and later in life enjoyed following the accomplishments of her eight grandchildren, especially at their sporting events.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Don Tatum.

Arthur Lee Lillund, age 76, resident of Bishop for 41 years, born in Michigan on Aug. 2, 1937, passed away on March 29, 2014 at the Bishop Care Center.
“I was born, I lived, I died. Goodbye.” Arthur worked as a dispatcher for the California Highway Patrol for 35 years. He was a member of Eastern Sierra Wildlife Care, and the Manny Stein Club. Arthur had a love and hobby of collecting snakes.

Martha Dean Jackson Jeffs was born Sept. 2, 1926 in Los Angeles and passed away March 26, 2014 in Reno after a brief illness.
The youngest of five children, Martha was a popular and vivacious student at Fremont High School, where she met her true love, Ralph.
After they married at the age of 19, Ralph was ordained and they served the Episcopal churches in and around the San Joaquin Valley for many years, eventually moving back to L.A. where Ralph was a chaplain at USC and Martha graduated from college with a teaching degree.

Born March 10, 1962 in Montevideo, Minn., Angela Marie Booth passed away at the hospital in Grants Pass, Ore. on March 24, 2014.
Angela lived in Minnesota, Texas, Rhode Island, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, Taiwan and California. She graduated from Port Hueneme High School and continued her education at Chula Vista College. She worked as an office secretary at various companies throughout her life.
Angela married Thomas Booth in 1988.

Kevin James McLaughlin, 39, of Bishop, California, formerly of Waterloo, Iwoa, died at his home Tuesday, March 11, 2014, of natural causes. Kevin was born June 13, 1974, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of James T. and Kimary J. Hill McLaughlin.
He attended Waterloo West High School. Kevin worked in the food service industry in Waterloo most notably at Red Lobster as a bartender.
