Martha Dean Jackson Jeffs
Martha DeanÂ Jackson JeffsÂ was born Sept. 2, 1926 in Los Angeles and passed away March 26, 2014 in Reno after a brief illness.
The youngest of five children, Martha wasÂ a popular and vivacious student at Fremont High School, where she met her trueÂ love, Ralph.
After they married at the age of 19,Â Ralph was ordained and they servedÂ the Episcopal churches in and around the San Joaquin Valley for many years,Â eventually moving back to L.A. where Ralph was aÂ chaplain at USC and Martha graduated from college with a teaching degree.
Angela Marie Booth
Born March 10, 1962 in Montevideo, Minn., Angela Marie Booth passed away at the hospital in Grants Pass, Ore. on March 24, 2014.
Angela lived in Minnesota, Texas, Rhode Island, Mississippi, Puerto Rico, Taiwan and California. She graduated from Port Hueneme High School and continued her education at Chula Vista College. She worked as an office secretary at various companies throughout her life.
Angela married Thomas Booth in 1988.
Kevin James McLaughlin
Kevin James McLaughlin, 39, of Bishop, California, formerly of Waterloo, Iwoa, died at his home Tuesday, March 11, 2014, of natural causes. Kevin was born June 13, 1974, in Ottumwa, Iowa, the son of James T. and Kimary J. Hill McLaughlin.
He attended Waterloo West High School. Kevin worked in the food service industry in Waterloo most notably at Red Lobster as a bartender.
Darryl was born in Denver Colo. to Henry and Lyla Truelsen. The family moved to California when Darryl was 6 years old and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He loved fishing from an early age and baseball. A born-to-be salesman, his neighborhood would see him coming and get out their pocketbooks, never saying â€śno, not today.â€ť
Graduating from Van Nuys High School in 1955, he joined the Navy and was a radio operator aboard the USS Purvis and the USS Fessenden, where he traveled through both the Suez and Panama canals.
Beverly Faith Nixon
Beverly Faith Nixon, born Feb. 18, 1928, passed away peacefully on Â Feb. 8, 2014 at Carson-Tahoe Medical Center, Carson City, Nev.
Beverly was born in Forest City, Iowa where she spent her younger years. She moved to Santa Monica with her mother, Eunice Swenson, during World War II. She lived most of her life in Southern California, with the past 21 years in Bishop. Â
Deanne Kilpatrick, 90, died Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Valley Inn in Mancos, Colo. Private services will be held at a later date to celebrate Deanne and her late husband of 73.5 years, Bud.

Katori Cambria Ann Taylor, 2 days old, born March 8, 2014, passed away on March 10, 2014 in Los Angeles.
Katori was preceded in death by her sister, Katana Taylor; great-grandparents, Michael and Janet Strickler; great-grandpa, John McKellips; and great-great-grandparents, Ila and David Connell.
Ronnie Thomas Roberts
Born June 13, 1934 in Tacoma, Wash., Ronnie Roberts often commented that he â€śdidnâ€™t stay in Tacoma long enough to get rained on.â€ť
Ronnie grew up in the Southern California communities of Alhambra and Long Beach. He attended Long Beach Poly High School where he played football and was part of the Comus Club. He continued playing football for Whittier College, which he attended from 1953-57, earning his B.A. in Psychology, Political Science and Religion. At Whittier, he was part of the Lancer Society.
Pat Beck, long-time resident on Irene Way, died peacefully on March 9, 2014 at Grangeville Health and Rehab in Grangeville, Idaho. She was 84 years old. Born in Colorado Springs, Colo. in 1929, to Ora and Lena Mae Rupe, she moved to Los Angeles at age 16 where she married the love of her life, Mel Beck, in 1950. They moved to Bishop in 1957 with their three children. Mel owned and managed Highway Auto Service and Beckâ€™s Backhoe Service until his death in 1978.
