Gloria Jean Cline Brown
On May 30, 2014 Gloria passed away in her sleep Friday morning at her son‚Äôs home. She was born in Schurz, Nev, on April 18, 1951.
Gloria, also known as G-girl, was a lifetime resident of Bishop.
She had four sons, Victor, Brian, Kevin and Preston Brown; she also had two grandchildren, Sydney and Naomi Brown; father, Lamar Cline; mother, Alberta McCann; sister, Ernestine Bob; daughter, Christine Bob and her daughter Tamara; cousin, Veltha Henry; nephews, Lional and Rodrick and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed.

Olathe, Colo. resident, Mandy Rumble passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at her home in Olathe. She was 44 years old.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 6 at the Delta High School with the Rev. Brian Workman officiating.

Patty was born Oct. 17, 1960 in Las Vegas, Nev. and passed away May 30, 2014 at her home in Bishop at the age of 53.

Larry Kent Peckham
Larry passed away unexpectedly in Southern Inyo Hospital on April 29, 2014 due to complications of pneumonia. He lived in Independence for 67 years, moving there with his parents Howard and Evelyn Peckham and his little sister, Janet, when he was 5 years old.
James David Boling
James (Jimmy) David Boling died at his home in Big Pine on May 27, 2014. Jimmy, who was also known by many as ‚ÄúBones,‚ÄĚ was born on Oct. 22, 1950 in Pomona to James Harvey and Mary Katherine Boling. Jimmy, his older sister and three younger siblings moved to Aberdeen Resort with his mother and step-father, Warren, and Mary Katherine Mann in 1963. Jimmy attended school in both Big Pine and Independence, graduating from Owens Valley High School in 1969. Jimmy lived most of his life in the Owens Valley and worked for the County of Inyo for a total of 18 years.

Lifetime Big Pine resident Argus Jerald ‚ÄúJerry‚ÄĚ Horton, also known as ‚ÄúMoon‚ÄĚ to good friends and family, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Thursday, May 22, 2014. He was 71. Jerry was born March 18, 1943 at the Northern Inyo Hospital.
His parents, Clyde and Minnie Horton; sister, Mary Ann; and brother, Jim ‚ÄúNorg,‚ÄĚ preceded Jerry in death.
Michael Dane Armstrong
Michael Armstrong, 47, of Pacifica, passed away peacefully in his sleep from a prolonged illness on Thursday, May 22 at his residential care home in San Jose, Calif.
Michael moved to Bishop as a child with his family in 1975 and attended schools in Bishop and was a graduate of Bishop High School. Michael was on Bishop‚Äôs swim team and was an avid skier on the Bishop High School ski team. He choose his profession as a chef and was a wonderful and gifted cook.
