Polly Leah Brown Cox
1936-2010
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the West Line Street Cemetery for Polly Leah Brown Cox.
Born in her home in Round Valley on July 14, 1936, Polly died Oct. 1, 2010 in Bishop. She was 74. Polly attended school in Bishop, graduating from Bishop Union High School.
She was married to Milton Cox for almost 50 years until his death in 2009.
C.P. ‘Rocky’ Stone
1918-2010
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Bishop for C.P. “Rocky” Stone. Pastor Peter Thomsen will officiate.
Born May 28, 1918 in Irvine, Orange County, one of eight children to Ralph and Jennie Stone, Rocky died of natural causes Oct. 2, 2010 at the Bishop Care Center. He was 92.

Joe Leland Snoderly
1948-2010
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22 at the Bishop Christian Center for longtime Bishop resident Joe Leland Snoderly.
Born June 13, 1948 in Waynesville, Mo. to Roy and Willene Snoderly, Joe died Sept. 23, 2010 at Renown Medical Center in Reno from complications of open heart surgery. He was 62.
Dale Carroll Dietzman
1930-2010
A private family service will be held at a later date for 65-year Bishop resident Dale Carroll Dietzman.
Born Jan. 27, 1930 in Los Angeles, Dale died Sept. 25, 2010 at the Bishop Care Center. He was 80.
Dale was raised in Chalfant Valley. He attended Bishop Union High School. He worked as a self-employed plumber for many years and loved restoring old cars.
Dale was also a member of VFW Post No. 8988, BPOE Bishop Lodge No. 1603 and the plumbers’ union.

Walter J. Knight
1923-2010
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9 at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop for Walter J. Knight.
Born Sept. 6, 1923 in Pomeroy, Wash, Wally, as he was known to his friends, died Sept. 18, 2010. He was 87.
James F. Wickser
1938-2010
No funeral services have been announced for James F. Wickser, the former head of the water system and assistant general manager of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. He was 72.
Born March 22, 1938 in Los Angeles to Frank Tobe Wickser and Edith May Wickser, Jim died Sept. 22, 2010 in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure as a result of several strokes he had suffered since 2006.
William ‘Bill’ Nunn
Graveside services at the Big Pine Cemetery next month are pending for William “Bill” Nunn.
Bill, a resident of Topaz Lake, Nev., died Saturday, Sept. 25. He was 82.
Bill was a long-time resident of Big Pine and after retiring from DWP in 1983 moved full-time to his residence at Topaz Lake.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leattrice Mae Nunn.
Calvin Howard Hazley
1922-2010
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the East Line Street Cemetery for four-year Inyo County resident Calvin Howard Hazley. David McLaughlin of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate, along with Kim Lehigh Hazley and family.
Born to Esther Willamina Frances Ohlson and Harvey Howard Hazley in Minnesota on Dec. 15, 1922, Calvin died at the Bishop Care Center on Sept. 24, 2010. He was 87.
