Patricia A. ‘Pat’ Hall
1929-2011
Per her wishes, services for Patricia A. “Pat” Hall will be held at a later date for the immediate family to spread her ashes off the Southern California coast to join those of her husband Jim.
Born April 5, 1929 in Detroit, Mich., Patricia died peacefully on March 19, 2011. She was 81.
John Shirly Allred
1926-2011
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26 at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop for 45-year Bishop resident John Shirly Allred. Winnedumah Masonic Lodge No. 827 will officiate. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bishop with Pastor Randy Skoretz officiating. Visitation will be from noon-5 p.m. Friday, March 25 at Brune Mortuary in Bishop.

Avo Irene ‘Ava’ Hancock
1924-2011
Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 14 at Green Acres Memorial Garden Chapel in Bloomington for Avo Irene “Ava” Hancock.
Born Feb. 27, 1924 in Monroe County, Ken. to William and Pearl Stewart, Ava died peacefully at Renown Medical Center in Reno on March 1, 2011 with her family by her side. She was 87.
Ava married Robert Winston Hancock on Nov. 14, 1942; he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1966.

Carol Lee MacDonald
1937-2011
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, March 15, at the East Line Street Cemetery for 28-year Bishop resident Carol Lee MacDonald.
Born in Bennett, Neb. on Dec. 25, 1937, Carol died March 11, 2011 at the Bishop Care Center. She was 73.
Carol was a loving mother whose main concern in life were her children. Being born on Christmas Day made her extra special. She will be greatly missed.
Florence M. (Barlow) Phillips
1921-2011
Funeral services for lifelong Bishop resident Florence M. (Barlow) Phillips will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17 at the Brune Mortuary Chapel. Gretchen Hess will officiate. Burial will be at the East Line Street Cemetery.
Born to Ben and Irene Barlow on Aug. 8, 1921 in Bishop, Florence died March 11, 2011 at the Bishop Care Center. She was 89.
Jacqueline Mary Jackson
1929-2011
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 17 at the First United Methodist Church in Bishop for Jacqueline Mary Jackson. Burial will follow at the East Line Street Cemetery. The Reverend Barbara Crockett will officiate.
Born March 27, 1929 to Earl and Agnes Milner in Detroit, Mich., Jackie – a mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend – died March 7, 2011 at the Bishop Care Center. She was 81.

Graveside memorial services for J. Patrick Farrell, Sr. will be held at noon today, Saturday, March 12 at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop. Pastor Chris Costello will officiate.
Born Jan. 25, 1934 to Gertrude and William Brian-Jennings Farrell, Pat died March 5, 2011.
Ina June Raworth
1924-2011
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 19 at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Hemet for Ina June Raworth
Born in Victor, Colo. on Oct. 1, 1924, June died Feb. 24, 2011. She was 86.
June graduated from Manitou Springs High School in Colorado. She worked as a dental assistant and later at Hope School for the Handicapped for 14 years.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10 at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church, 600 Hobson St., in Bishop for Margaret Jane McMurtrie Lay Carrington. Burial will follow at the East Line Street Cemetery in Bishop.
Born Dec. 23, 1932, long-time Bishop resident Janie Carrington died March 5, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.
