Robert LeRoy Ripley
Robert was born on July 18, 1931 and passed into Heaven with Jesus on July 12, 2013. He was born in Tennessee and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Robert settled in California and worked for Caltrans until retirement. He greatly enjoyed his family and enjoyed living in the High Sierra very much.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia and sister, Mary Shuggart.
Gilbert Adair Peters
Born April 1, 1957, Gilbert Adair Peters died July 2, 2013.
He is survived by his twin brother, Claude âPeteâ Peters and sister, Claudia Krause.
Helen Merydith Macklin
Helen Merydith Macklin, 85, born Aug. 16, 1927 in Pasadena, passed away July 14, 2013 at the Bishop Care Center.
Bob and Merydith moved from Duarte in the summer of 1968 to Bishop where they lived until 1988 and then moved to Gardnerville, Nev., and then back to Bishop in May of 2011 to be closer to family.

Edward L. Bouska
Forty-five year Mammoth Lakes resident, Edward Bouska, passed away at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage on June 21, 2013 of pancreatic cancer.
William Bevet Rowan
William Bevet Rowan, born Sept. 18, 1932 in Lone Pine, died June 21, 2013 at his home in Bishop with family by his side from a two-and-a-half year battle with lung cancer.
Bill was the second of two children born to Bevet Malcolm Lane Rowan and Alta Nevada Goode Rowan. At age three his father died in an auto accident. When he was 6, his mother married Walter Turner. Except for a couple of years in Bishop and Lee Vining, Alta and Walt raised Bill and his sister Margaret in Independence through their school years.
William David Chandler
William David Chandler, 91, passed away July 2, 2013 in Visalia.
William was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946. He was also the first UPS driver in Bishop from 1961 through 1975 when he retired at the age of 53 and went fishing.
There will be no services.
Shirley Mae Summers
Shirley Mae Kellner âSummersâ was born Sept. 25, 1937 in Darwin. She loved this small mining town where she grew up and always talked of wonderful memories of her life there.
At the age of 6, Shirley learned to play the piano. She was well known for her musical talent of being a great pianist and was able to play any style of music. With this God-given talent, Shirley used this gift during her years of being a minister. She was a loving mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Elizabeth M. Felice
The Felice family extends our deepest appreciation for those who have expressed their sympathy over the recent loss of the family matriarch, Elizabeth M. Felice, recently of Lone Pine and previously from Tujunga. Private services will be held with interment at sea.
William Gogesch, 94, a resident of Bishop for five years and a former resident of Poland, was born in Campbell, Ohio on May 19, 1919. He passed away on June 14, 2013 at 2:35 a.m.
