Joseph Bernard McFadden, 94, a resident of St. George, Utah for 17 years, born in Rhode Island on March 6, 1919, passed away Dec. 18, 2013 at the Bishop Care Center.
Joseph worked for Borrman Steel in Burbank for 45 years and served in the Army during World War II in the Europe Theater. He was married for 67 years to his true love, Norma Dorothy McFadden.
He is survived by his wife, Norma; sons, Patrick, Richard and Michael; daughter-in-law, Linda McFadden; grandsons, Michael, Matt and Jimmy; and granddaughters, Megan and Sara.

Viven E. Fenton passed away at the age of 86 on Oct. 21, 2013.
She was born in Texas in 1927 moved to California in the 1940s.
She moved to Bishop in 1954.
She is survived by her six daughters.
Viven was the mother of nine children, 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Viven worked as a cook for the Bishop Grill for many years and then for Manor Market and retired at the age of 84.

Harry G. Reynolds Jr., age 90, a resident of Bishop for many years, born in Sacramento on Nov. 4, 1923 passed away Dec. 7, 2013 at Northern Inyo Hospital.
Harry was a World War II veteran who served in the Marine Corps. He worked for the Vanadium mines before the service, then after the service he worked for Western Gillette for 30 years. After leaving Western Gillette he went to work doing highway construction for a few years before retiring.

Mary Theresa Cherubini was born in Fresno on Oct. 25, 1925 to Isabella and Sabino Muniz. She passed away Dec. 14, 2013 surrounded by her family.
For the majority of her life, Mary lived in Lone Pine. At the time of her passing, she was a resident of Washoe Valley, Nev.
Before moving to Nevada, Mary was a personal assistant to Doris D. Statham in Lone Pine. She also spent time working in a convalescent home in Pennsylvania.

On Nov. 20, 2013, Frances Fritcher-Nupen passed away peacefully in Fallon, Nev. Frances was born on March 4, 1938 in Detroit, Mich. to Anna (Doran) and Giovanni Ruffino. She had a younger sister Virginia (Ruffino) Bailey and two older brothers, John Ruffino and Jim Ruffino, all of whom proceeded her in death.

William (Billy) Karg Anderson, passed away in San Diego on Dec. 6, 2013 due to complications from brain cancer.  
Billy was born on March 9, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to late parents Don and Louise Anderson. He lived in Mammoth Lakes and Corona Beach, Mexico, and spent the better part of the last few months battling his disease in Carlsbad and San Diego.

Jesse Ray Smith, born Sept. 1, 1931, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013.
Born in Wewoka, Okla., Jesse served bravely in the Army during the Korean War. In 1964, while working at Helms Bakery, he met Jeanne St. Pierre and on Feb. 13, 1965 they were married.
He lived in Big Pine and owned and operated Mammoth Liquor from 1978 until retiring in 2004.

Blanche Willetta Bonham Comino, 72, of Paso Robles, died Monday, Nov. 24, 2013. She was born to the late William McLane Bonham and Marie Bernice Bonham on March 11, 1941 in Lone Pine.
Blanche attended Sacred Heart High School in Los Angeles and graduated from Lone Pine High School in 1959. Blanche went on to attend Los Angeles Trade Tech and later earned her Pharmacy Tech license. After 15 years as a Pharmacy Tech, she achieved her degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Early Childhood Development from the University of Redlands.
