Margaret Ann Trexler Prewitt
1930-2014

Born June 16, 1930 in Davidson County, N.C, Margaret Ann Trexler Prewitt passed away Feb. 15, 2014.
Margaret graduated from Ashebore High School and served in the U.S. Navy from June 1951 through June 1953. She married Robert Lee Prewitt May 5, 1957.
After settling in Lone Pine, she worked as a nurse at the local hospital until she retired in 1972. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Richard Orrill at the age of 89. Richard passed away Feb. 24, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.

Harold Carmical Jr., age 66, passed away Feb. 24, 2014. He was a native of Harlan, Ky. but lived in Rutherford County, Tenn. the last few years.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Carmical Sr. and Rosalie Carmical; and brother, Roger Carmical.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Carmical; daughter, Michelle (Bill) Cravens of Murfreesboro; brother, Damon Carmical of Corbin, Ky. and Robert Carmical of Virginia; sister, Kathy Dutta of Frankfort, Ky. and Jamie Carmical of Frankfort, Ky.; and grandson, Tyler Vandagriff Cravens.

Marie Louise (Swenson) Taylor passed in her sleep on Feb. 16, 2014 at her home in Round Valley.
Marie was born in Stockholm, Sweden and moved to the United States with her adopted parents, Mary and Bruno Swenson, at the age of 4. They entered through Ellis Island, N.Y. and made their residence in the East Bay Area of California.
Marie began her education in the public schools of San Leandro, Calif. When she entered school she did not speak English.

1953-2014

Dennis Ray Wiley was gracefully drafted up to pitch with the Heavenly Angels on Feb. 16, 2014, at home with family by his side after a short battle with esophageal cancer. He was 60 years of age.
A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25 at Calvary Chapel, 210 E. Springer in Ridgecrest. Pastor Billy Phipps from RCA will officiate and reception to follow. Softball attire/casual wear is highly encouraged as this is what Dennis would want.

James W.H. Charlton
1916-2014

James W.H. Charlton, also known as “Bill,” was born Feb. 29, 1916 in Bella Coola, British Columbia, Canada. In 1922, his family was flooded out and moved to Riverside. Bill spent his school years, kindergarten through Riverside Junior College, in Riverside. From 1936 to 1938 Bill went to U.C. Berkeley and received his Bachelor’s degree in Forestry. He went to work for the U.S. Forest Service on the Cleveland National Forrest.

Born April 26, 1950 in Coalinga, Lynelle Jo Romero, 63, passed away Feb. 14, 2014 at Riverside Community Hospital.
Lynelle was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Oyster.
Lynelle was a teacher who had taught in numerous places in her 38 years of teaching at Utah, Big Pine, Owens Valley High School and Lone Pine High School. She loved spending time with her sons and grandchildren. She loved to read books and travel with her mother and sons. She had a heart of gold and will be truly missed by all.
