William David Chandler
William David Chandler, 91, passed away July 2, 2013 in Visalia.
William was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946. He was also the first UPS driver in Bishop from 1961 through 1975 when he retired at the age of 53 and went fishing.
There will be no services.
Shirley Mae Summers
Shirley Mae Kellner âSummersâ was born Sept. 25, 1937 in Darwin. She loved this small mining town where she grew up and always talked of wonderful memories of her life there.
At the age of 6, Shirley learned to play the piano. She was well known for her musical talent of being a great pianist and was able to play any style of music. With this God-given talent, Shirley used this gift during her years of being a minister. She was a loving mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
Elizabeth M. Felice
The Felice family extends our deepest appreciation for those who have expressed their sympathy over the recent loss of the family matriarch, Elizabeth M. Felice, recently of Lone Pine and previously from Tujunga. Private services will be held with interment at sea.
William Gogesch, 94, a resident of Bishop for five years and a former resident of Poland, was born in Campbell, Ohio on May 19, 1919. He passed away on June 14, 2013 at 2:35 a.m.
Linda Kay Bostrom Marks
Linda Bostrom Marks, born in Salt Lake City in 1943, passed away at Salem Hospital in Oregon, a month after a serious illness put her in the hospital. She battled the devastating c. def bacteria but it left her too weak to make a comeback and she slipped away from us on June 11, 2013. She was the third of four children born to Al and âBinkâ Bostrom and grew up with her older siblings Dan and Sandie, in Darwin, Manzanar and Lone Pine. At age 13 she found herself replaced as the baby of the family when her younger sister, Shawn, was born.
Mary C. Terrasas
Mary C. Terrasas, age 76, resident of Bishop for 12 years, born in Flagstaff, Ariz. on Dec. 22, 1936, passed away on June 24, 2013 peacefully at home with her family by her side.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a resident of Bakersfield and Sacramento before retiring here with husband Margarito. She worked for the Elk Grove School District in food services. Mary was an avid bingo player.
She was preceded in death by husband, Margarito in 2011.
H. David Lewis, Jr.
H. David Lewis Jr., born April 8, 1947 in Clarksburg, W.V., passed away June 22, 2013 in Santa Monica.
Glenn Allen Cyrus
Glenn Allen Cyrus, age 48, resident of Las Vegas for six years, born in Bishop on Sept. 6, 1964, passed away June 19, 2013 in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; daughters, Latisha (Gabriel), Allison and Morgan; sons, Kevin and Zachariah; three grandchildren, Swayze, Jeremiah and Jett; father, Bud; sisters, Debbie (Gary) and Rosenda (John); brothers, Mike and Nat; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and many, many cousins.
Herman L. Coffey, Sr.
Herman L Coffey, Sr. passed away June 18, 2013 in Riverside. He was born in Virginia on June 23, 1938.
Herman is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elaine Coffey; his four sons; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Herman worked for the SantĂ© Fe Railroad for 39 years. He enjoyed the outdoors fishing, camping, hunting as well as bingo.
Herman resided in Lone Pine for the last 14 years which he truly enjoyed.
John Bernard Boling
Services will be held for John Bernard Boling at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29 at the Big Pine Tribal Park area on Watson Road in Big Pine. There will be a time to share food and memories following the service.
John was born in Pomona to James Harvey and Mary Katherine Boling on Nov. 29, 1951 and died at his home in Carson City, Nev. on June 10, 2013.
