Margarita Valenzuela
1910-2013
Margarita H. Valenzuela passed peacefully in her home on Feb. 15, 2013, surrounded by loved ones. Margarita was 102 years and eight months of age. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Catalino Valenzuela, who passed into Eternal Life in 1979.
Margarita was born June 10, 1910, in Tepic, Mexico, and has resided in Bishop for more than 50 years. She was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church. Margarita has many beloved friends and family who will celebrate her life and mourn her passing.
La Rae Lyman
1932-2012
La Rae Lyman passed away peacefully on Feb. 17, 2013 at home surrounded by her family. La Rae was born in Utah and lived in Idaho until she settled in Bishop in 1957. She lived, worked and played here, fully experiencing life. She enjoyed her family, many friends and coworkers from her various jobs at The Copper Kettle, Southern California Edison and Dr. William Talbott, D.D.S.
David H. Brodsky
1963-2013
David was born May 18, 1963 in Los Angeles and passed away Feb. 14, 2013 at home with his family, as was his wish.
David was preceded in death by his father, Martin H. Brodsky.

Carmelo âCarlâ Terrano
1915-2012
Carmelo âCarlâ Terrano, Jr., 97, passed away on January 30, 2013, at Southern Inyo Hospitalâs skilled nursing facility in Lone Pine.
He is survived by his daughter, Dianne of Minden Nev., one niece and six nephews throughout the United States. Carmelo was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Vera, who passed away in 2001.
Gerald (Jerry) Richardson
1927-2012
An honorable Navy Veteran, Jerry, as most people knew him, resided in Cartago and was a very much liked and respected resident of Inyo County for about 25 years. Jerry unexpectedly passed away at Riverside Community Hospital.
He was predeceased in death by his wife of 30 years, Dorothy; and son, Joe Turgeon.
Jerryâs friendly smile and happy personality was a great joy to all who crossed his path. He had a great love of fishing and loved sightseeing.
Donald Lee Kothman
1930-2013
Donald Lee Kothman, born July 10, 1930, in Red Bluff, passed away at home in Bishop on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. He was 82 years old. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Grace Lutheran, 711 N. Fowler St. in Bishop. Pastor Kenton Puls will officiate.
Lorenzo Iturriria
1936-2013
Rosary was held Thursday, Feb. 7 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Catholic Church.
Lorenzo was born Jan. 9, 1936 in Almandoz, Spain, and passed away Feb. 3, 2013 after a long battle with Parkinsonâs Disease.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andres Iturriria and Lucrecia Iturriria; and his siblings, Luis Iturriria, Begonia Iturriria and Augustine Iturriria.

Edward Vernon Hunter
1942-2013
Born June 12, 1942, Edward Vernon Hunter passed away Feb. 7 at the age of 70. A cry dance will be held this Friday, Feb. 15 at 9 p.m. at his home at 994 Bowers Rd. in Big Pine. A celebration of life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Alan Spoonhunter Memorial Gymnasium on the Big Pine Paiute Reservation.
Mark Robert Felton
1953-2012
Fifty-nine-year-old Independence resident Mark Robert Felton passed away in Reno at Renown Medical Center on Dec. 18, 2012.
Mark is survived by his wife of 39 years, Peggy Lee Felton and his three children, Faith and husband, Robert Mcalister, CK and his fiance, Tracy Mike and his youngest son, Charles. Also his five grandchildren, Marky and Michael Mcalister, Robert Hunter âBubbaâ and Braydyn and Colton Felton. He had two siblings, Dennis Felton who lives in Ventura and Laurie Lindsey that lives in St. Johns, Ariz.

Fay Lenbek Hirst
1919-2012
Fay Lenbek Hirst, the last of the Manzanar Lenbeks, passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes. She resided at the Silvergate Retirement Home in Fallbrook.
Close were her two daughters and sons-in-law, Kay Leahy, Bill Van Valkenburg and Charlene and Glenn Payne. Fay had three grandsons; two granddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Fay was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
