Robert M. Gillis, age 93 of Lone Pine, passed away Thursday, March 21 at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop. Born in Wynnewood, Okla. on Aug. 29, 1919, to Bert Gillis and Viola Parker Gillis, Robert “Bob” moved with his family to Compton in 1928.

Peggy was born in Los Angeles on Sept. 26, 1947 and passed away in Hemet on March 20, 2013.
She was a loving wife to Thomas, and mother to Kimberly and Joseph.
She is survived by her husband, two children, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Don Morgan
1952-2013

Don Morgan “Donnie” was raised in Bishop since the age of two. He graduated from Bishop Union high School, and worked for Safeway, and then worked for Union Caribe for many years.
Don enjoyed fishing, camping, baseball and spending time with family and friends.
He leaves behind his mother, Irene Morgan and his two daughters, Lisa and Krista Morgan as well as six grandchildren, Lance, Devyn, Alyssa, Leeah. Eric and Jade.
Don passed away in Hayesville, Okla. due to on going health problems.

A memorial service will be held for Christina Lynn DeGeorge at noon Saturday, April 20. Services will celebrated by HSRM Fred Weatherly at the Church on the Mountain/Crowley Lake Community Center. Christina was 43 years old. She passed away Friday, March 8 at Renown Medical Center.

The Lord chose Sunday, March 3, 2013 to quietly and peacefully bring Harry home after a year-long battle with cancer. The Lord had placed Harry on this sod on Feb. 17, 1948 to spend some time raising a beautiful family and doing a few things that God had planned for his life, including two years of service to our country in the U.S. Army.

Yvonne D. Jack, age 73, resident of Bridgeport for 35 years, born in Round Valley on April 14, 1939, passed away March 15, 2013 at her residence in Bridgeport.
Yvonne worked as a nurse’s aid for several years. She was also an excellent cook and took great pride in cooking for the annual, traditional walk from Lee Vining to Yosemite Valley for 20 years. She was also active in many community affairs.

Genie was born in Bishop on Nov. 22, 1952. She passed away March 12 in Reno from cancer.
She is survived by her parents, Gene and Jackie Billingsley; her husband, Wayne Chiatovich; a son, Timmothy Brown; and two granddaughters, Rilee and Mollee Brown. She also had two adopted four-legged boys, Jasper Banner and Yonder Blue. They loved her and she dearly loved them.

1956-2013

Terry Marie (Reed) Sepsey was born on Feb. 24, 1956 at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop and passed quietly at Renown Medical Center in Reno, Nev. on March, 3 2013 with her children by her side. She was 57 and a beautiful and loving young woman.
Born to Nancy and Edwin “Sandy” Reed, Terry was the younger of two daughters.
Having lived most of her life in the Owens Valley, Terry enjoyed the outdoors, working with friends and lovingly raised four children, Daniel, Amber, Ryan and Rahn.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at St. Timothy’s Anglican Church in Bishop, for long-time Owens Valley resident William E. “Bill” Wright, Jr. Burial will be at East Line Street Cemetery, followed by a reception at St. Timothy’s Church.
