1929-2012
Dolores Barbara Haney, known to her friends as “Dee” was born March 1, 1929 to Frank and Beatrice Gagliano in Los Angeles and had one younger brother, Frankie. Their mother died when she was 3 and he was 1.
Thomas (Tom) Joseph Spoonhunter
1945-2012
Thomas (Tom) Joseph Spoonhunter, age 67, passed away Feb. 9, 2012 at his home in Bishop, Calif. due to illness. Thomas was a member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe.
He was born June 24, 1945 in Ft. Washakie, Wyo, on the Windriver Reservation to Isaac and Angela Spoonhunter Andreas. The family moved to Bishop in 1952 where Tom grew up and graduated from Bishop Union High School.

Margaret M. Karaffa
1930-2012
Margaret M. Karaffa (81), resident of Bishop, Calif. for 36 years, born in Detroit, Mich. on June 27, 1930, passed away on Feb. 1, 2012 at Bishop Care Center.
Margaret worked many jobs as she followed her husband across America. She was a phone operator in Michigan, a front-office employee for churches in Detroit, Sarasota, Fla., and in Bishop. She also worked for J.C. Penney’s for many years in the catalogue department.
J.P. ‘Sierra Phantom’ Glover
1926-2012
J.P. Glover died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at the Bishop Care Center. He was 85.
Those who knew Glover did not call him by his birth name – most never knew it. He was known as the Sierra Phantom, a nickname earned after living 50 years in the wilderness of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

Billy B. Ingram
1928-2012
Billy B. Ingram, 83, a resident of Bishop for nine years, born in Arkansas on March 31, 1928, passed away Jan. 26, 2012 at the Bishop Care Center.
Billy was a bright, kind and funny man. He always had a smile for you. He touched many hearts and will be missed by all.
Shirley May Morey
1925-2012
Shirley May Morey left her earthly life on Jan. 23, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born on Dec. 25, 1925 in Stockton, Calif. Her parents were Dorothy May (Bloom) Thomas and Elmer Thomas.
Shirley is a graduate of Stockton High School. Shirley selected Bishop as her residence after retiring from the State Department of Highway (Caltrans) because of its community and surrounding nature and mountains.
