Daniel F. Farris
1934-2011
Daniel F. Farris, age 77, resident of Bishop for 29 years, born in Tulare on March 22, 1934, passed away Nov. 6, 2011 at Northern Inyo Hospital.
Dan was a third generation Californian and mule packer of the Sierra Nevada Western Slope in the Sequoia Park area and packed and guided folks into the wilderness out of the Mammoth Lakes area since 1964.
Preceded in death by Patsy Ann Farris; brother, Phillip Austin; and stepson, Bobby Farris.
Dr. (Pastor) Timothy Daniel Treadwell
1935-2011
Dr. (Pastor) Timothy Daniel Treadwell was born in Columbus, Ohio on March 16, 1935. He went to be with his savior on Nov. 2, 2011.

RaVonne Wines
1954-2011
A memorial service will be held at the Oasis of Grace Church Jan. 28, 2012 for 18-year Bishop resident RaVonne Wines. More details will be forthcoming and published in the newspaper and available at the church at a later date.
Born March 2, 1954 in Aurora, Colo., RaVonne passed away Nov. 8, 2011 of breast cancer.
Maureen H. O’Brien
1926-2011
Maureen H. O’Brien went to be with her Savior on Oct. 29, 2011. She is survived by her five children, David O’Brien, Mark O’Brien, Sheila Anderson, Michele Enkenrode and Sean O’Brien, together with their spouses, and her 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Maureen was an OB nurse at Northern Inyo Hospital and lived in Bishop 34 years.

Marjorie Patterson
1946-2011
Marjorie Patterson was born in Schurz, Nev. on Dec. 21, 1946 to Hank and Margaret Patterson. Marge was the 11th of 12 children. She passed away on Nov. 7, 2011 at Dolano Regional Hospital.
Marge was a very happy, giving lady and loved life. She loved playing handgames, fishing and being around her family and friends. She could always make people laugh.

Jane Spoor Wuest
1922-2011
Jane Spoor Wuest, 89, died Oct. 23, 2011, in Bishop. A native of Redlands, she was born in Ridgewood, New Jersey, while her mother was attending a family wedding. She was the daughter of former Redlands resident, E. H. (“Tac”) Spoor, and stepdaughter of longtime Redlands High School Teacher Marion Cornelius Spoor.
Irvin R. Miller
1920-2011
Born July 15, 1920, life-long Independence resident Irvin R. Miller passed away Nov. 2, 2011 at Northern Inyo Hospital in Bishop.
Irvin grew up in Inyo County and loved to pack into the Sierra. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Irvin was also a World War II veteran, serving as a mechanic on early jet aircraft.
In his later years, one of his biggest sources of fun was traveling to Bishop to enjoy his friends at the Paiute Palace Casino.
Harold D. Lawson
1925-2011
Harold D. Lawson was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on March 10, 1925. He passed peacefully on Nov. 3, 2011.
Hal joined the Marine Corps in 1946 and served during World War II and the Korean Conflict.
In 1969, he married Rose Major who preceded him in death in 1993 after 24 years of marriage.
Marion Amolee Weatherly
1929-2011
Funeral services for 51-year Lone Pine resident Marion Amolee “Amie” Weatherly will be held at 11 a.m. today, Nov. 5, 2011 at Mt. Whitney Baptist Church in Lone Pine. Pastor Terry Randolph will officiate. Interment will be at the Mt. Whitney Cemetery.
Born June 18, 1929 in Hartford, Mo., Marion died Nov. 2, 2011 at Southern Inyo Hospital in Lone Pine. She was 82.
Frank W. Sutton
1927-2011
Frank W. Sutton passed away Oct. 18, 2011 at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.
Frank was born in San Diego on Sept. 16, 1927. Frank retired from Southern California Edison and moved to Bishop in 1995. Bishop was a much beloved place to be for Frank as he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and exploring all around Inyo County. He was also a student of Inyo County history.
