William ‘Randy’ Peters

William “Randy” Peters, 51, died Aug. 1, 2011 in Carson City, Nev. He was born in El Monte, on Dec. 10, 1959, to Sharon Diane Peters and William Robert Peters. He is survived by his wife, Sherry Peters of Bishop; sisters, Rene, Raylene, and Jennifer, all of Arizona; his stepfather, Dave Stewart of Sahuarita, Ariz.; and his father. His mother died in 2007 in Sahuarita.

Gertrude ‘Gail’ Cooper

Born Nov. 19, 1920 in Big Pine, Gail passed away Sept. 5, 2011 at home in Bishop. She was 90 years old.
A funeral service will be at Big Pine Community United Methodist Church at 11 a.m., Sept. 10. Rev. Dr. Karen Moore will officiate. Graveside service will follow at Big Pine Cemetery.
Carol Walters Cole
1934-2011
Carol was born Sept. 18, 1934 in Lovelock, Nev. to Mona Gracey and Carl H. “Bud” Walters of Independence and passed in Reno on Sept. 1, 2011 with family members at her side. The Walters family were an old pioneer family having settled at Camp Independence in 1869, and the Gracey family arriving in Independence in the early 1900’s.
